Maine health created The Health Index. It monitors the progressive development of Maine’s health primary goals. This system is launched in 2008, the Health Index initiative utilizes health data to get to know the needs and opportunities of patients and doctors. It is done for health improvement across the state. The main health aspects are included in the services:
- childhood immunizations;
- tobacco use;
- prevention hospitalizations;
- deaths from cancer in 2016;
- deaths caused by cardiovascular diseases;
- prescription drug abuse and addiction.
Health care Southern Maine achieves a high level as it is oriented on the improvement of medical services’ release. The rate of deaths in 2016 is decreased by several percents. This institution provides also home care for patients having severe disabilities.
