    Access Health works with community partners to contribute to the health and well being of our communities through tobacco prevention and cessation, secondhand smoke reduction, physical activity and healthy eating promotion, chronic disease management, substance abuse prevention, and lead poisoning prevention.

  • American Cancer Society, New England Division

    The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.

  • American Heart Association

    The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

  • American Lung Association of the Northeast

    The American Lung Association of the Northeast serves Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.  It is part of the American Lung Association, the oldest voluntary health agency in the U.S.  The focus is on healthy air, tobacco control and all lung disease, including asthma and COPD.  Its mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through education, research and advocacy.

    America's Health Rankings compares the health of all 50 states to each other.  This ranking tool is used as a benchmark for MaineHealth's Health Index.

  • Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice

    Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice provides residents of Androscoggin, Oxford, and Franklin counties with high quality home health, hospice, and supportive care. It is Maine’s largest independent home health and hospice agency with a service area that encompasses 122 municipalities, plantations and unorganized territories.

  • Eastern Maine Healthcare

    As a member of the Maine Shared Health Needs Assessment and Planning Process, Eastern Maine Healthcare is collaborating with MaineHealth, Central Maine Healthcare, MaineGeneral Health and the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention to implement a consistent process and framework to efficiently address community benefit reporting needs of hospitals and provide valuable population health data for various organizations concerned witht the health of Maine's communities and citizens.

    GetBetterMaine is a public website that allows Maine people to compare the quality and safety of doctors and hospitals where they live. It is also home to a robust health resource library that includes information on how to better manage the health issues affecting you.

  • Healthy Androscoggin

    Healthy Androscoggin seeks a community environment supportive of healthy lifestyles by promoting five main goals: support tobacco free lifestyles, prevent youth substance abuse, encourage physical activity, promote healthy eating, and prevent childhood lead poisoning.

  • Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County

    The mission of the Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County is to measurably improve the well-being of all people in Greater Franklin County and neighboring towns using a coordinated public health approach of education, promotion, and outreach.

  • Healthy Lincoln County (Partner to LCHC)

    Healthy Lincoln County's specific initiatives around nutrition, tobacco, substance abuse, school health, and chronic disease will be worked on in order to improve community health and help us achieve our mission.

  • Healthy Maine Partnerships

    Healthy Maine Partnerships (HMP) is a collaborative effort of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Maine Office of Substance Abuse, and the Maine Department of Education.  At the State level, the Healthy Maine Partnerships are programs and organizations dedicated to promoting health all over Maine. These statewide partners support the 27 local HMPs with training, technical assistance, evaluation, program development, and media help in order to reach the communities at the local level.


  • Healthy Oxford Hills

    Healthy Oxford Hills provides community education and prevention services not only for nutrition, physical activity, tobacco and other substances that are abused, but also to support self-management of additional chronic diseases, including diabetes, cancer and lung diseases, asthma, and dementia.

  • Knox County Community Health Coalition

    A Local Healthy Maine Partnership, Knox County Community Health Coalition is the only public health coalition Knox county.  It is a community/school partnership comprised of agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals representing many sectors of our county.

  • Let's Go!

    Let’s Go! is a nationally recognized childhood obesity prevention program. Our goal is to increase physical activity and healthy eating for children from birth to 18 through policy and environmental change.  Let’s Go! has six programs, otherwise known as sectors, to reach families where they live, learn, work, and play to reinforce the importance of healthy eating and physical activity.

  • Libra Foundation

    The Libra Foundation is a responsive, dynamic and well-endowed private philanthropic foundation.  Since its creation by Elizabeth Noyce in 1989, the Foundation has made significant contributions to worthy causes throughout the State of Maine.  Embracing the sense of proportion and fairness defined by its name, Libra, the Foundation maintains a balance and diversity of giving throughout Maine and across all populations.

  • Maine Agencies on Aging

    The Maine Agencies on Aging provide older adults and their families with information, guidance, education, and programs for their social, financial, and home care needs. Southern Maine Agency on Aging has been particularly involved in testing a lay-leader version of A Matter of Balance.

    Maine Behavioral Healthcare

    Maine Behavioral Healthcare was created in 2014 to provide an integrated continuum of comprehensive, coordinated healthcare for Maine residents of all ages. The new organization, part of MaineHealth, includes Spring Harbor Hospital, southern Maine’s only nonprofit, private psychiatric hospital, and a broad range of community-based intensive and outpatient treatment services offered at some 30 service locations from York to Norway to Belfast.

    The MaineHealth Center for Quality & Safety (CQS) provides system-wide direction in the identification, prioritization, implementation, measurement and communication of quality and safety initiatives, with a focus on data management and analysis, education, program evaluation, and accreditation and regulatory support.

    The Maine Hospital Association represents 38 community-governed hospitals in Maine. Formed in 1937, the Augusta-based non-profit Association is the primary advocate for hospitals in the Maine State Legislature, the U.S. Congress and state and federal regulatory agencies. It also provides educational services and serves as a clearinghouse for comprehensive information for its hospital members, lawmakers and the public. MHA is a leader in developing health care policy and works to stimulate public debate on important health care issues that affect all of Maine's citizens.

  • Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine

    The Partnership For A Tobacco-Free Maine (PTM) is the state tobacco control program within the Division of Population Health at Maine CDC. The mission of PTM is to reduce death and disability due to tobacco use among Maine citizens by creating an environment that is supportive of a tobacco-free life.
    The statewide program has four primary goals: 1. Prevent youth and young adults from starting to use tobacco, 2. Motivate and assist tobacco users to quit, 3. Eliminate involuntary exposure to secondhand smoke, 4. Identify and eliminate disparities related to tobacco use among population groups.
